Frequently Asked Questions:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Why do you have “Call for Price” on your items for sale that are offered on Gunbroker?
A. Those items are on auction and must be purchased through the auction because they are either consignments and I’m under contract obligation or they do not normally have a specified sell price. For those items that do have a specified sell price, that price will be offered as a “Buy it Now” on the auction.
Q. Why do your shipping charges vary from one gun to another or one item to another?
A. Shipping charges are based on the actual cost of shipping, insurance, the cost of packaging materials (bubble wrap, tape, containers, etc.) and labor to make sure your gun is packed in such a way that it will not be damaged by the shipper.
Q. What methods do you use for shipping and are they insured?
A. All products are insured for the full purchase price of the item less shipping. All non firearm items that weigh less than 5 lbs (excluding ammo) are normally shipped USPS Priority Mail. Handguns and long guns are shipped using UPS or Fed-Ex Ground at our discretion.
Q. What methods are acceptable for sending FFL’s?
A. I accept any legible form. Fax, Email, Snail mail, however, I put emphasis on “LEGIBLE”. Many fax copy’s as well as some of the others look like they are a copy of a copy from 500 copy’s back. I cannot use a FFL that is nor clearly legible.
Q. Why do you have to have the contact person’s name and phone number at the FFL?
A. FFL contact information i.e. names and phone numbers are required for the purpose of communication. In addition, shippers will not ship a firearm to a destination without that information.
Q. Can my FFL have the gun held at the Fed-Ex terminal for pickup at a time that is more convenient for him/her?
A. Yes, however that must be communicated prior to shipping the gun so it can be designated on the shipping instructions.
Q. Can I or an agent of my FFL pick the gun up at the Fed-Ex terminal?
A. No. the ATF rules state that only the FFL holder is legally able to sign for a gun. This prevents a gun from ending up in the wrong hands.
Q. Do you accept PayPal as a form of payment?
A. No, PayPal is anti-gun and will not allow transfers for gun purchases so I will not use PayPal for any transactions.
Q. Some dealers charge an additional fee for credit card transactions; is this something you do as well?
A. We do not have additional fees for credit card purchases
